Unfortunately due to pressure of other work I am not taking on new patients at present; I will post on the website as soon as outpatient slots become available. Apologies, Ian Coffey.
I will not arbitrarily change your patients medication such as antidepressants to the latest expensive "magic bullet" advocated by the drug companies. No one Antidepressant stands out as being consistently superior to another. I would only change an antidepressant already initiated by you if there is a sound clinical reason to do so.
I can accept healthcare insurance policies from the major insurers such as BUPA and AXA-ppp.
I am registered with BUPA, AXA-ppp Healthcare, Standard Life, Medisure, Benenden and so forth.
I also see patients who choose to self-fund.
I do not routinely charge for telephone or e-mail advice. If telephone conversations become lengthy or regular I may make a charge. I will not charge the patient however without notifying them in advance.
I am happy to exchange e-mails to discuss medication timing, side effects or other issues. I am also happy to use Instant Messaging via the internet as I am able to touch type and some patients find this a useful mode of communication.
